The X-TEND WA Program is a competitive grants program, funded under the New Industries Fund.

X-TEND WA will fund organisations which deliver innovator and/or investor educational programs that support the development of entrepreneurs and stimulate private investment in innovative projects in Western Australia.

The New Industries Fund will co-contribute up to $100,000 per successful application.

On 11 June 2020, Minister Dave Kelly announced a portion of the New Industries Fund (an additional $100,000) would go towards funding for education and mentoring programs to support start‑ups and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) impacted by COVID-19, which will be delivered by existing X-TEND WA program recipients.

Minister Kelly further announced on 14 August 2020 additional funding towards this initiative (up to $390,000), to support even more affected start-ups and SMEs.
