Western Australia accounted for 44 per cent of total merchandise export earnings and 26 per cent of Australia’s business investment in 2014-15.
Approximately 150 international companies commenced business in the State in the past two years, while many others have expanded existing operations.
The Western Australian Government currently operates 11 trade and investment offices around the world, including in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific region.
These overseas offices, together with the department’s International Trade and Investment Division, are the first point of contact for international investors and specialise in linking like-minded investors with real opportunities in Western Australia.
The department and its overseas offices provide free and confidential services: including advice on business registration, tax regime, visa categories, industrial relations, sector data and information, infrastructure and workforces.
