TECHNOLOGY PARK WA
Technology Park, Bentley, is Western Australia's premier location for technology driven and innovative organisations dedicated to information technology and telecommunications, renewable energy, clean technologies and life sciences.
The Park was opened in 1985 as a strategic priority to encourage technology based industry development, the Park is empowered by the Industry and Technology Development Act 1998 to support the following Western Australian Government objectives:
• Support emerging and small local companies interested in developing and exporting technology based products and services;
• Encourage interaction between the private and public sectors;
• Attract international technology focused companies and research organisations to locate their operations to Western Australia;
• Promote commercialisation of research and development within universities and the public and private sectors; and
• Create and maintain international and national strategic linkages for possible future joint project opportunities.
In over 30 years of operation, TPWA continues to serve as important common-use infrastructure for further technology development in Western Australia and a hub of diverse and emerging technologies. Many leading local, national and international technology companies are based at TPWA, including suppliers of technology to global markets in pharmaceuticals, digital and information technology, resources processing and clean technologies. TECHNOLOGY PARK, HENDERSON
Located 23 km south of Perth in the locality of Henderson and adjacent the coastal facilities of the Australian Marine Complex (AMC), Henderson, is Western Australia’s most recent technology park development. One of two technology parks, the Technology Park, Henderson is dedicated to fostering enterprises involved in specific technological development, training and education associated with ship design, building, repair and marine engineering.
The AMC Jakovich Centre is a large modern facility located in the Technology Park at the prestigious Australian Marine Complex in Henderson. Featuring a range of spacious meeting rooms fitted with state-of-the-art equipment, the centre is available for all events ranging from small groups and business meetings to large celebrations for up to 250 people.
