The Government of Western Australia’s India Office in Mumbai has been supporting Western Australian businesses since 1996.
India is a significant trading partner for Western Australia in petroleum, alumina/bauxite and gold and is the largest source country for international students. There are trade opportunities for Western Australian companies in a number of sectors, including education, minerals and mining services, energy trade, agribusiness and tourism promotion.
In December 2016, the Governments of Western Australia and Andhra Pradesh established a new Sister State Agreement, and committed to working together in mining, agriculture, energy and education.
The Government of Western Australia’s India Office helps Western Australian companies access trade and investment opportunities in the South Asia area, also including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal.
