The Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI) is offering an exciting opportunity for up to 10 Western Australian (WA) startups/scaleups to participate in a virtual trade mission for London Tech Week (LTW) in September 2020.
LTW is the largest technology festival in Europe, in 2019 it attracted over 58,000 attendees from 95 countries across 300 events. This year, over 95 per cent of the festival will feature virtual events.
Entrepreneurial and innovative WA businesses will benefit from the virtual trade mission by engaging with experts, investors and fellow tech founders on the UK tech ecosystem and opportunities in the market.
Participants will join a series of LTW webinars arranged by the UK Department for International Trade (DIT) from 7-10 September. This will be followed by bespoke online sessions from 15-17 September for WA participants delivered by Newfound, specialists in supporting market entry, expansion and hiring for tech companies in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
The bespoke sessions will feature workshops on fundraising, building traction and growing revenue, and branding; roundtables on getting boots on the ground and engaging with large corporates; and a panel and pitch session with venture capital firms and investors.
Applications are now open for WA startups/scaleups seeking entry into the UK, Europe’s top tech nation and third in the world for tech investment (Tech Nation, Tech Nation Report 2020, March 2020).
