Western Australian entrepreneurs now have new opportunities to receive training and support to grow their businesses, create jobs and drive economic growth, with the McGowan Government funding a series of business education programs.

Innovation and ICT Minister Dave Kelly today announced that six education programs tailored for investors and innovators have been awarded grants through the McGowan Government's X-TEND WA competitive grants program.

The $516,000 pilot program, which is funded through the $16.7 million New Industries Fund, will deliver educational programs over the next 12 months that support the development of entrepreneurs and investors.

The training programs include:

• Commercialising digital health solutions through Telethon Kids Institute;
• Business scale up in the agritech, fintech and Internet of Things sector (IoT) through Spacecubed;
• Investor education in impact investment through Impact Seed;
• Founders development program for young founders through St Catherine's College Inc;
• Investor ready program for companies in the space supply chain through Atomic Sky; and
• Business solutions utilising entrepreneurs of neurodiversity through Apps People.
