  • WA to host three Tourism Australia international travel trade shows in 2019
  • International tourism operators and sellers to visit WA
  • Supported by State Government, through Tourism Western Australia

Western Australia will host three of Tourism Australia's major travel trade events in 2019.

Corroboree West will connect Australian tourism operators with international frontline travel sellers from countries including the United States of America, Canada and New Zealand, and countries in the United Kingdom and Europe.

The event will be held from October 8 to 11, 2019 and joins two other major Tourism Australia trade events to be held in Perth next year; the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE 19) in April and Dreamtime in December.

About 3,000 delegates are expected to attend ATE 19, which is Australia's largest annual tourism trade event.

The Dreamtime program, to be held in Perth for the first time, will involve more than 100 international conference and incentive buyers.

Comments attributed to Tourism Minister Paul Papalia:

"Securing Tourism Australia's top three major events is a real coup for WA and will attract a significant number of international visitors.

"As well as economic benefits, the cumulative impact of holding these major events in one year offers a valuable opportunity to shine a light on the transformation of Perth, dispel our reputation of being expensive and promote our State and all it has to offer to key international markets.

"Securing and hosting major travel trade events also contributes to Tourism WA's Two-Year Action Plan, which will grow the number of visitors to the State over the next two years."
