- Meridian Park in Neerabup to be one of the biggest industrial estates in Perth
- Local business builds create WA jobs in Perth's northern corridor
- Creation of Industrial Lands Authority, a key election commitment, underway
Premier Mark McGowan visited Meridian Park today to view progress on the industrial estate's latest addition - HD Cardboards, a local family business that supplies cartons and plastic punnets to local fruit and vegetable suppliers.
Construction on HD Cardboards' warehouse is being completed by local builder, Armada Construction Group.
Based in Neerabup's Meridian Park industrial estate, Armada Construction Group provides design, construction and development services in Perth and regional Western Australia.
This is the 10th local business site that Armada Construction Group has developed in Neerabup's Meridian Park.
When complete, Meridian Park will be one of the largest industrial estates in Perth.
A key part of the McGowan Government's Plan for Jobs is the creation of the Industrial Lands Authority (ILA), which will be initiated by the Land Agency Reform announced last year.
Under the Plan for Jobs, Meridian Park will be brought under the ILA to help cut red tape and encourage local job creation.
Ultimately comprising 540 hectares, Meridian Park is expected to meet the industrial land needs of Perth's north-west corridor for the next 30 to 50 years.
A total of 250 people are currently employed across all of the businesses operating in the industrial estate.
