- Seven WA start-ups to receive development funding for their innovations
- Funds allocated through SPUR, WA's location technology hub, powered by Landgate
Local entrepreneurs working on innovations in road safety, agriculture and building projects are just some of the recipients of the latest round of SPURonWA grants.
Under the guidance of SPUR, the start-ups will invest the grants in development costs associated with their innovative location-based solutions, and begin accelerating their ideas to reality.
These costs include legal fees, user interface testing, website creation and information technology services.
The successful recipients include Smartvision, a start-up working on technology to detect road hazards; Equii Pty Ltd which is using spatial data to help farmers improve fertiliser efficiency; and Ovass, a platform using data visualisation to assist in business-based decision-making.
SPURonWA grants are just one way Landgate is driving innovation through SPUR.
Since its launch in April 2016, SPUR has been collaborating with Western Australian start-ups, researchers and government agencies on new innovations that accelerate economic development in the digital economy.
