Premier of Western Australia, Minister for State Development, Jobs and Trade

Mark McGowan was elected Premier of Western Australia on March 11, 2017, and sworn in as the Minister for State Development, Jobs and Trade on March 17, 2017.

Mr McGowan is also the current Minister for Public Sector Management; and Federal-State Relations.

He was first elected to the Western Australian Parliament in 1996 and has previously served as Minister for Education and Training; Environment; Racing and Gaming; and Tourism; among others.

 

Alannah MacTiernanHon Alannah MacTiernan BA LLB BJuris JP MLA

Minister Assisting the Minister for State Development, Jobs and Trade

Alannah MacTiernan served in the Western Australian Parliament from 1993 to 2010, returning in 2017 after serving as the Member for Perth in the Australian Federal Parliament from 2013 to 2016.

Ms MacTiernan is also the current Minister for Regional Development; and Agriculture and Food.

She has previously served as Minister for Planning and Infrastructure from 2001 to 2008.
 

Paul PapaliaHon Paul Papalia CSC MLA

Minister for Tourism; Defence Issues

Paul Papalia was elected to the Western Australian Parliament in 2007, following a 26-year career in the Australian Defence Force, primarily in the Navy and Special Air Service. 

Mr Papalia is also the current Minister for Racing and Gaming; Small Business; and Citizenship and Multicultural Interests.

He has previously served in a number of shadow ministries including tourism, corrective serves, and education.
 

Peter-Tinley_headHon Peter Tinley AM MLA

Minister for Asian Engagement

Peter Tinley has represented the electorate of Willagee since 2009 after a 25-year career in the Army – 17 of which he served in the Special Air Services regiment, commanding at every level from a patrol of six to an SAS Sabre Squadron.

Mr Tinley is also the current Minister for Housing; Veterans Issues; Youth and has previously held Shadow Ministry posts in the portfolio areas of Planning; Housing; Local Jobs; Trade; Science; Asian Engagement; Lands; Gascoyne; and Goldfields-Esperance.


Dave KellyHon Dave Kelly MLA

Minister for Innovation and ICT; Science

Dave Kelly was elected to the Western Australian Parliament in 2013, following a 20-year career in the union movement.

Mr Kelly is also the current Minister for Water; Fisheries; and Forestry.

He has previously served as Shadow Minister for Water; Fisheries; and Youth.
